As the 80-hour work week impacts training that occurs in the operating room, and as Residency Review Committees seek evidence of how skills are taught, there is a need to focus on innovative strategies and methodologies that are being employed. This section on Surgical Education will periodically highlight Surgical Skills Centers, their experiences in training, and new technology.
